Help with the GiftHint app and website. How to reach us, and what to try first if something isn't working.
Email us
One person reads every message. Expect a reply within a couple of days, faster during the week. If the app is getting in your way, say so plainly and tell us what device you're on and what iOS version you're running.
What to do if
A few things worth trying first.
Something in the app isn't working.
Email us with what you were trying to do, what happened instead, and roughly when it happened. Screenshots help. If the app crashed, an approximate time is enough for us to find it in the logs.
You can't restore a purchase.
Open the app, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. If that doesn't bring GiftHint Plus back, email us with the Apple ID you used when you subscribed and we'll sort it out from our side.
A reminder never fired.
Check iOS Settings, then Notifications, then GiftHint, and make sure notifications are allowed. Then open the app's Settings, go to Reminders, and confirm the reminder is still scheduled and quiet hours aren't hiding it. If it looks right and still isn't firing, let us know.
You want your data deleted.
Almost everything lives on your device and in your iCloud account, not on our servers. To remove a single recipient, idea, or reminder, delete it inside the app. To wipe the local copy entirely, uninstall the app. To remove the iCloud copies, manage iCloud storage from your device's Settings. If you subscribed to the email list and want off, email us. Same goes for anything we hold on the website side.
If something is in the way, tell us. The only way it gets better is if you say what is broken.
